Roma consider Benfica shot-stopper Mile Svilar for the future

Andy Mattioli

The Giallorossi are already looking ahead and planning the club’s future under manager Jose Mourinho. The most recents rumors link the capital club with a 22-year-old Serbian goal-keeper.

In fact, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have identified in Mile Svilar of Benfica a potential candidate to replace Rui Patricio in the future.

General Manager Tiago Pinto is keen on him and the two know each other from the director’s years at the Portuguese club.

Svilar is also in possession of a Belgian passport and his contract with Benfica is set to expire in June. The shot-stopper has drawn considerable interest from several Portuguese sides.
