Roma and Sampdoria are in talks for out-of-favour midfielder Gonzalo Villar who has been training individually at Trigoria since his return from Spain.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are ready to evaluate Samp’s offer as the wait for Mikkel Damsgaard’s move to Brentford to be complete.
The Giallorossi are counting on Damsgaard’s transfer to provide Samp with the necessary funds to sign Villar.
The capital club refuse to let Villar go on loan without inserting an obligation. Roma want to permanently part ways with the Spaniard.
Sampdoria await a response from Roma within the end of this week.
