Roma are keeping their eyes open on the market in order to further strengthen José Mourinho’s attack.
In order to do that, the capital club will largely depend on the various sales they will able to secure in the first place as the future of several attackers, including Stephan El Shaarawy and Eldor Shomurodov, remains uncertain at this stage of the transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that if Roma were to off-load El Shaarawy and/or Eldor Shomurodov, the Giallorossi would immediately try and sign Andrea Belotti.
The former Torino striker, currently a free agent, is considered the ideal alternative to Tammy Abraham.
Earlier reports claimed that there had been contact between Roma and the 28-year-old Belotti who is still waiting to receive a convincing proposal after parting ways with Torino in June.
