Roma considering Mateo Retegui as Tammy Abraham’s replacement

Mateo Retegui is one of the players monitored by Roma during the Euro’s.

The Genoa striker is currently involved in his first tournament with the Italian national team.

Fresh off his first season in Serie A with 7 goals and 2 assists to his name, Retegui is said to be a target for Roma.

The Giallorossi are reportedly interested in the 25-year-old who could be on the move this summer.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma are set on parting ways with Tammy Abraham in the coming weeks and Retegui could represent his replacement.

Abraham’s time at Roma has supposedly come to an end: the striker is expected to be sold in the English Premier League.

As a result, Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi has made inquiries for Retegui and the player’s availability for a transfer in this offseason.
