Roma are considering a move for free agent Adrien Rabiot ahead of next season.

The capital club are rumored to be interested in the 29-year-old midfielder.

Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expired a few days ago, leaving him available as a free agent.

According to La Repubblica, the player’s free agent status has drawn the attention of several clubs including Roma.

So far there has been no contact between Roma and Rabiot’s agent – his mother – but the situation may soon change as the player seems to represent the ideal profile to strengthen Daniele De Rossi’s roster.

The only major obstacle for Roma would be Rabiot’s wages – the Frenchman earns over 7 million euros, a sum that Roma would not want to match given their determination to lower the wage bill.
