Roma considering renewal for Mirante

After usurping Pau Lopez as the first choice goalkeeper at Roma, the Giallorossi are considering handing Antonio Mirante a contract renewal.

The 37 year-old has been one of the surprises so far this season for the Giallorossi after having registered impressive performances against the likes of Juventus, Udinese and, most recently, Benevento.

Calciomercato.it reports that Roma’s management team is already discussing the shot-stopper’s contract situation — the former Parma man’s deal with the capital club expires next summer.

Roma want to ward off interest from potential suitors interested in acquiring Mirante for free and are weighing up the figures and costs of a contract renewal.
