Roma continue to work on the possible signing of Alexander Sorloth from Villareal.

The Norwegian striker is the capital club’s current priority to replace Romelu Lukaku.

With Big Rom gone back to Chelsea following his loan spell in the Italian capital, the Giallorossi want to secure an equally powerful forward.

Villareal’s request, however, remains quite elevated: 30 million euros, whereas Roma are only willing to go as far as 20 million for the time being.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi are constantly in touch with Sorloth’s entourage, monitoring the progress of negotiations with the Spanish side.

The newspaper adds that Sorloth – coming off a season with 26 goals and 6 assists in all competitions – is keen on the move to Roma.
