Gianluca Di Marzio has released an update on the market of Roma.
The Giallorossi’s first offer for Gregoire Defrel was rejected due to Neroverde president Squinzi valuing the player at €22 million while the Giallorossi have offered an 18 months loan with an obligation to buy set at €15-€18 million plus a player between Marchizza and Tumminello to go to Sassuolo. Defrel has not yet forced Sassuolo to sell him even if the offer of Roma has certainly flattered him. Marseille are also interested but no talks have been held.
Another name Roma like is Benjamin Stambouli of Schalke 04, but the idea has faded due to the player’s participation in the French Super Cup with PSG, meaning he can’t move to a third team this season.
