Alessandro Austini of Il Tempo has reported today on the situation of Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara.
Reportedly, within the next 48 hours, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini will make another approach for Diawara, who he views as the heir to Daniele De Rossi. Today in Milan, there will be an assembly of the Lega and tomorrow at Coverciano there will be a meeting of the federal council: these two meetings will turn into a transfer market affair for nearly all of the Italian clubs. Baldissoni and Sabatini will meet former Roma colleague and current Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci to discuss the Diawara operation. Bologna would still like to get €15 million in cash for the player, while Roma do not intend to spend more than €10 million, but there is time to find a compromise. The Giallorossi are even willing to insert the loan of Umar Sadiq into the talks to bridge the gap.
Diawara, meanwhile, has no plans to return to Bologna and is waiting for the agreement between the clubs. The arrival of Diawara, though, is related to the departure of Paredes.
