Roma continue to monitor Genoa’s Eldor Shomurodov

Despite Edin Dzeko expressing his desire to remain at the club, Roma continue to search for a new striker.

The Bosnian is entering the final season of his contract, which has the Giallorossi on the lookout for a new goalscorer who has the potential to become a long-term solution.

One of the candidates that Roma have their eyes on is Genoa’s Eldor Shomurodov. The 26 year-old is attracting interest from several suitors, including Roma and Juve, after scoring eight goals for Il Grifone last season.

According to calciomercato.com, Genoa have informed all interested clubs that it will take no less than €20 million to sign the Uzbekistan international.

Roma have expressed their willingness to pay €15 million, which isn’t far off from the Ligurian side’s asking price. Further negotiations will be required, however, Genoa have reportedly already started their search for a replacement.
