Roma’s interest in Granit Xhaka continues to be alive and well, according to

Despite having extended his contract with Arsenal until 2024 earlier in the summer, the Swiss international is reportedly unhappy with his situation in London amid a recent controversy which included Xhaka rejecting the captain’s arm-band.

Mourinho and the Giallorossi still consider him the ideal player to give Roma much needed defensive stability in the middle of the pitch.

The sports outlet further reports that the capital club will continue monitoring the Swiss midfielder as they maintain contact with his entourage ahead of the summer window.
