Roma continue to target Rugani, Lovren for the defence

John Solano

Roma want to bring in a central defender before the closing of the transfer window. The Giallorossi have been linked to several names throughout the summer, but they appear to have set their sights on two potential names: Dejan Lovren and Daniele Rugani. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that there could be a domino effect linked to possible sale of Rugani. The Giallorossi will meet tomorrow for the 25 year-old – however, should they choose not to close the operation, it would open the door for Milan to bring Merih Demiral to the San Siro from Juventus. The Bianconeri prefer to sell Rugani in a permanent deal, but should Roma ultimately decide not to purchase the player – the Turkish defender Demiral could be the one who is sacrificed while the former Empoli defender would remain in Turin.
