Roma COO Francesco Calvo also expected to exit soon

RomaPress – Following yesterday’s exit of former CEO Guido Fienga, Roma COO Francesco Calvo remains one of the last senior figures still remaining from the club’s previous ownership regime—but this could change soon.

A source from The Friedkin Group tells RomaPress that the Italian executive is expected to follow his former colleague through the exit door in the near future.

Calvo originally joined Roma from Barcelona in 2018 after being appointed as Chief Revenue Officer. Less than 24 months later, he was named Chief Operating Officer by former Roma president Jim Pallotta.

However, following The Friedkin Group’s takeover of the capital club in August 2020, Calvo was almost immediately linked with a potential departure.

The whispers of an impending exit quieted down in recent months, but the Friedkin’s are now prepared to bring in their own senior leadership as they enter month fourteen of their ownership.

Calvo oversaw several endeavors in recent years, including Roma’s deal with new shirt sponsor New Balance.
