As the season is winding to an end, Roma must make important considerations ahead of the summer window.

In addition to the matters related to their long-standing sporting director vacancy and the much discussed future of Daniele De Rossi, Roma will also have to study their finances and make decisions based on the governmental withdrawal of the Italian Growth Decree.

The Growth Decree, in fact, had been of great help for the capital club as they navigated strict Financial Fair Play parameters over the years. Because of it, the Giallorossi were able to cover the costs involved in welcoming players like Romelu Lukaku, Gini Wijnaldum, Rui Patricio and more.

Now, with Growth Decree set to be withdrawn, Roma will have to make considerations with regards to their wage bill.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, if all the players who benefit from Growth Decree should leave the club within the coming weeks, Roma would be able to save up to €51.2 million in wages.

The ones certain to leave the club at the moment are Rui Patricio, Rasmus Kristensen, Renato Sanches, Leonardo Spinazzola and possibly Dean Huijsen and Diego Llorente.
