Roma decide not to file appeal to reduce Mourinho’s suspension

In the end, Roma have decided against filing appeal in order to reduce Mourinho’s suspension following the heated events of Roma-Verona, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The club do not want further worsen their relations with the higher institutions including the FIGC and AIA, the refereeing association.

As a result, Mourinho will miss the big showdown against Atalanta on Saturday, with assistant manager Salvatore Foti leading the team once more from the touchline.

The Special One is expected to complete his two-match ban and return for the Udinese clash on March 13th.
