Stephan El Shaarawy will ultimately remain in the Italian capital until the expiry of his contract set for next year.
According to Il Messaggero, after initial rumours linked the Italian winger with a move to either Atalanta or Monza, the club and the player decided against parting ways.
El Shaarawy has told the club and Mourinho that he does not have any problems contributing off the bench, which the Special One appreciated.
The 29-year-old attacker has thus rejected other proposals in favor of continuing his stay in the Italian capital.
