Roma have reportedly decline a proposal from West Ham United for Nicolo Zaniolo.
The Giallorossi recently put Zaniolo up for sale and tasked his agent, Claudio Vigorelli, with fielding suitable transfer offers from interested clubs.
Of the clubs interested in the 23-year-old attacker, West Ham United are the first ones to come forward with a bid, reports calciomercato.com.
According to the Italian sports outlet, the Hammers asked Roma to sign Zaniolo on a free loan with an obligation to buy before the end of this calendar year for around €30 million based on the team’s position in Premier League standings at that specific point in time.
However, Roma have reportedly rejected this idea as Zaniolo’s current contract with the club expires in June 2024, and thus would not guarantee a permanent deal for the ex-Inter man who is pushing to leave the Italian capital in the coming days.
