An article in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, which was written by Roberto Maida – there was a suggestion that Roma will likely sell Edin Dzeko following the completion of the campaign.
The reason? The Bosnian, reportedly, earns €7.5 million, including bonuses, per season – a figure that’s unsustainable.
Roma, however, has released a statement to Ansa denying the validity of the report.
“AS Roma is extremely satisfied with how Edin is handling the role of captain, especially in such a delicate moment,” the statement reads.
“There is no strategy in place to change his (Dzeko’s) future, which is in Rome, nor has the club thought of reviewing its agreement with the player”.
