Roma deny authorising transfer talks between Paulo Dybala and Al Qadsiah

RomaPress — With only four days until Roma kick-off their 2024/25 season, superstar Paulo Dybala has been thrust into the spotlight amidst a potential transfer exit.

The situation arose yesterday after Carlos Novel, one of La Joya’s agents, arrived in the Italian capital. He met with the Giallorossi to take stock of the player’s contractual situation—which has become a point of contention.

Dybala is about to enter the final year of his deal but several clubs expressed interest in acquiring him before the transfer window closes in two weeks. Of those clubs, Al Qadsiah have emerged as the most keen to lure the player out of the Italian capital after two seasons.

Representatives from the Saudi side flew to the Italian capital to meet with and present their proposal to Dybala and his agents.

In fact, reports emerged that Roma gave their approval for these meetings to take place, however club officials staunchly denied this to RomaPress.

Roma claim Dybala’s representatives never informed them of any transfer negotiation nor did they sanction or encourage any meetings to take place.
