Roma were quick to respond to the latest rumors linking them with the return of former Giallorossi player Nicolas Burdisso.
In recent days, Burdisso was prominently linked with the capital club as their next sporting director.
The current Fiorentina executive will not renew his contract with La Viola and as a result is seeking other options within Serie A.
Roma, on the other hand, are still searching for a new sporting director following Tiago Pinto’s departure in February.
According to Sky Sport, Roma have denied contacting Burdisso. The club maintain their focus on other targets.
However, the sports network claims Burdisso is still Daniele De Rossi’s favored option for the sporting director vacancy as the two share a very close friendship.
