Contrary to what many reports stated this morning, Roma are not scheduled to meet with Dybala’s agent.
Today’s edition of Il Tempo, sheds some light on the situation with regards to the rumors of a possible exit on the part of the Argentine star.
The newspaper claims that Dybala’s agent, Carlos Novel, did indeed land in Italy on Tuesday, but his arrival had been planned long ago and is not related to the ongoing rumors.
Novel was scheduled to attend the first game of the season with Cagliari: this had been planned for a while.
At the moment there are no meetings scheduled between the agent and the club to talk about the player’s contractual situation: Dybala’s contract expires in 2025 (and he is one of the players with the highest salary in the squad), but a clause would allow automatic renewal of a further 12 months upon reaching 50% of appearances in the Giallorossi’s three-year period.
The player’s desire (according to sources close to him) is to remain at Roma, also given the purchase of Soulé, for whom he has spent numerous convincing calls.
From Trigoria they also insist on stating that an Arab offer for the world champion has never arrived, thus removing possible rumors regarding a separation.
