Roma are interested in possibly extending Georginio Wijnaldum’s stay in the Italian capital despite the Dutchman’s lack of playing time due to a leg fracture suffered in early August.

According to Leggo, the Giallorossi are very enthusiastic about Wijnaldum in their long-term plans and want to make him a regular part of Jose Mourinho’s rotations as soon as Saturday night with Lecce where the Dutchman is expected to earn his first minutes off the bench.

The Italian newspaper claims Roma are considering two options: asking PSG for a discount to sign Wijnaldum on a long-term deal or inquiring about the possibility of extending his loan for an additional year with the player renewing his contract with the French giants until 2025.

The Giallorossi are expected to hold several meetings with PSG in the coming weeks in order to find a solution for Wijnaldum.
