Roma learned their Europa League fate today as the draw for the quarter-finals was held in Nyon.
After knocking out Shakhtar Donetsk, the Giallorossi will face Dutch giants Ajax.. The two clubs will face-off for the first time in exactly seventeen years after they met in the Champions League group stage.
The Amsterdam-based outfit has already clinched the Eredivisie title and will host Roma in the first leg on 8 April. The return leg will be played in Rome the following week on 15 April.
The winner of the fixture will progress to the next round and face the winner of the tie between Granada-Manchester United. Meanwhile, Arsenal drew Slavia Prague and Dinamo Zagreb will face Villarreal.
