Jonathan David of Lille is being increasingly linked with Roma who are said to be interested in the Canadian star attacker.

Over the last two days, the Giallorossi have been named as one of the clubs to have shown interest in David – the 24-year-old is expected to leave Lille this summer as he only has one year left on his present deal.

Numerous clubs have queued up and made inquiries for him including Milan and Napoli in Italy.

Roma are said to be latest side to have joined the race for David.

According to Corriere dello Sport, David would be Roma’s marquee signing of the summer – for now a deal involving him is merely a dream for Roma whose summer transfer plans highly depend on whether the club manage to qualify for Champions League football or not.

However, the newspaper also states that we should not rule out any surprises as further developments could take place in the next few weeks.
