Roma enter race for Brazil’s U-17 goalkeeper Gabriel Souza

Despite the season being well under way, Roma are active on the market.

According to Spanish outlet AS, the Giallorossi led by General Manager Tiago Pinto have entered the race for young star goalkeeper Gabriel Souza of Bahía.

The 17-year-old shot-stopper has made a big impression on several teams and is already a part of Brazil’s u-17 team.

To get to him, Roma will reportedly have to beat competition in the form of Chelsea and Spanish side Valladolid. The Spaniard have already forwarded an offer of €2 million.

Souza is also reportedly close to obtaining an Italian passport.
