Roma are currently searching a replacement of Rui Patricio who is set to leave the club at the end of the month.

After 3 years in the Italian capital, the veteran goalie will depart the club in free agency.

Roma seem to have decided against renewing Patricio’s contract after the 36-year-old was overtaken in the team’s hierarchy by Mile Svilar.

With Svilar set to become the club’s starting goal-keeper for years to come, the Giallorossi have begun searching a back-up option who could slot in across competitions throughout the year.

One of the options Roma have been exploring is Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini who is still serving his loan at Napoli.

Napoli, however, are yet to decide on Gollini’s future, reports Leggo.

The Partenopei have a €5 million option to make the deal permanent.

Thus, Roma remain vigilant and await Napoli’s decision.
