Roma are reportedly nearing the signing of out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. The two clubs are still negotiating the details regarding the player’s salary.
According to Il Tempo, the deal should be completed in the coming days. However, it is not expected to finalised before July 31st.
In fact, the Italian newspaper informs that there is a clause in Wijnaldum’s contract with PSG which enables the player to earn around €3 million in bonuses if he stays in Paris beyond July 31st of this year.
Despite strongly wanting to join the Giallorossi, the Dutchman is expected to earn those bonuses and thus give his approval to a transfer to Italy only in early August.
