Porto’s Sergio Oliveira is steps away from joining Roma.
The defensive midfielder is closing in on a loan move to the Italian capital from the Portuguese giants that could total nearly €15 million.
According to both Sky Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Oliveira will join Roma on loan for a fee worth €1 million. Also included is option to make the deal permanent for an additional fee of €13.5 million.
The clubs are expected to sign the official paperwork in the coming hours—the final step before Oliveira can fly to Rome to undergo his medical examinations.
It would be a big lift for the capital club and manager José Mourinho, who has been outspoken about his team’s need for a defensively-minded midfielder since the summer.
