Roma expected to meet in coming weeks with Zaniolo’s representatives

Nicolo Zaniolo of AS Roma

There’s been speculation in recent days surrounding Nicolò Zaniolo’s future at Roma.

Roma executive Tiago Pinto inadvertently caused a stir earlier this week after he was asked if he could assure the attacker would remain the club beyond the summer.

The 37 year-old answered, “I can’t guarantee that but neither can anybody else.”

The lukewarm response unsurprisingly prompted an uptick in transfer rumors surrounding the Italian starlet. Even though several clubs are interested in Zaniolo, the Giallorossi will do all they can to keep him in the Italian capital.

In fact, calciomercato.it reports Roma plan to meet with Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, this month to discuss the player’s future.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport journalist Angelo Mangiante revealed Roma boss Jose Mourinho considers Zaniolo fundamental to the team’s project. The Portuguese technician believes the 22 year-old possesses an incredible technical and physical ability, making him the perfect attacking partner to Tammy Abraham.
