Albanian defender Marash Kumbulla has signed a contract extension with Roma until 2027.
The decision comes into effect for administrative purposes, reports Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, which will help maintain the club’s balance sheets within Financial Fair Play parameters.
As informed by Biafora, Kumbulla in the financial statements of 30 June 2022 had an annual depreciation cost of €6.2 million. With this extension the figure will be reduced, having to spread the residual depreciation as of 1 July 2022 (€18.49 million) over five years, essentially halving it.
