Roma eye Besiktas midfielder Özyakup

Turkish-Football.com: Italian giants Roma are plotting a move for Arsenal target Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The 24-year-old is at the centre of much transfer speculation following an excellent season in which he helped Besiktas secure the Turkish Super League title.

AMK claim that Roma have focused attention on Ozyakup after talks with Sampdoria over Lucas Torreira stalled.

A former Arsenal trainee, has been linked with a return to the Emirates this summer but the Gunners face stiff competition for his signature. Roma are the latest team to be linked with the midfielder, who made 38 appearances in all competitions last season.

Roma sporting director Monchi is reportedly keen on a deal for the 24-year-old and is ready to launch a £13 million (€15 million) bid to try and lure him to the Italian capital.
