Roma eye names for the summer

John Solano

Roma continue to prepare for the summer despite the busy schedule, which includes the Champions League and the remaining Serie A fixtures. While the fantastic run in Europe has been important, the “daily bread” for Roma is qualification for next season’s Champions League. Roma have earned nearly €95 million this season thanks to their Champions League success and participating in next year’s competition is extremely important. With three remaining matches in Serie A, the Giallorossi are aiming to confirm their place.

As reported by Il Corriere della Sera, the Giallorossi, assuming they conquer qualification, will aim to build a stronger roster for next season while also keeping the most integral pieces of the team. A few names that greatly interest Monchi are Anderson Talisca of Besiktas, though he is owned by Benfica, whom Roma reportedly already have an agreement with, and also Fiorentina’s Jordan Veretout and Nikola Milenković. The Tuscan pair could offer the Giallorossi very strong options and could be alternatives to Nainggolan as well as the Manolas-Fazio pairing. The dream for Monchi, though, remains Dani Ceballos of Real Madrid.
