Roma eye several renewals

Il Tempo (Biafora) – The summer transfer market is approaching and one of the issues to be addressed in the house of Roma are contract renewals. The most urgent situation is that of Daniele De Rossi, the only player whose contract expires with the club after 30 June. The captain’s situation will have to be resolved soon as the final home match will be on 26 May against Parma. The parties haven’t met throughout the year and the sides will have to resolve if the one against Parma will be his final home match for the club. De Rossi doesn’t plan on retiring and an appointment to discuss the renewal has yet to be set. Ricky Massara and CEO Guido Fienga, meanwhile, have been in touch with Manuel El Shaarawy, the agent and brother of Stephan. The ex-Milan man earns €4.5 million (gross) per season and has a contract that expires in the summer of 2020. With 11 goals and assists to his name this season, the intention is continue together and hand the attack an important wage adjustment. The other two priorities of the Giallorossi are Cengiz Under and Nicolo Zaniolo. The Turk, who signed a five year contract when he joined, earns a little less than €1 million (net) per season and is one of the biggest suspects to be placed on the transfer market — but the parties will soon talk to understand each other’s wishes. The ex-Inter man, meanwhile, earns €270,000 plus bonuses per season and the hope of his entourage, who last met with Roma in February, would be to bring his wages to €2 million (net) per season. At the end of the season, everyone will meet to find the framework for an agreement. It’s up to Petrachi, who Cairo continues to say will not leave, to handle the dialogue, including talks with the entourage of Edin Dzeko, Kolarov, Juan Jesus, and Fazio.
