Rumours in Italy cite Roma as the club most interested in Torino defender Perr Schuurs.

Despite joining the Granata only six months ago, the young centreback has managed to impress under Ivan Juric and catch the attention of several clubs in Italy and abroad.

In Serie A, Napoli have made preliminary inquiries for him, but Tuttosport reports that it is the Giallorossi who have made the most concrete advance thus far.

Due to Chris Smalling’s uncertain future at the club, Roma are now searching for viable alternatives in case the English veteran defender were to turn down the capital club’s proposal for a contract extension.

The newspaper also claims that Schuurs is heavily drawing interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer window.
