Roma are looking for an alternative to Edin Dzeko as Nikola Kalinic has floundered in the Italian capital since joining on loan in August. Italian outlet calciomercato.com claims that the Giallorossi are eyeing three potential candidates for the role: Everton’s Moise Kean, Genoa’s Andrea Pinamonti, and Real Madrid’s Mariano Diaz.
For Kean, he has endured a difficult season in England and his agent, Mino Raiola, is eager to have him return to Italy as Roma could be a potential landing spot. For Pinamonti, he is struggling to find goals and could look for a fresh start elsewhere. However, Inter and Genoa have a “gentlemen’s agreement” for the striker should he ever leave the Genovese side. As for Mariano Diaz, he is being pursued by Espanyol, who want to bring him on loan with an option to buy. Should Roma choose to formulate a similar offer, they would first have to sell.
The names on the potential outgoing list for the Giallorossi include Alessandro Florenzi, Diego Perotti, and Javier Pastore. Roma’s captain has fallen behind Leonardo Spinazzola and Davide Santon in the right-back pecking order and could decide to leave in order to ensure his ticket to Euro 2020. Perotti, meanwhile, has endured injuries over the past two years and has made only 2 starts this season. For Pastore, the Argentine earns an incredibly high salary and could leave the Eternal City should the right offer arrive.
