The winter break has arrived and Roma will try to reinforce the team in January.

Corriere dello Sport reports that the Giallorossi have two priorities for the upcoming transfer window: a right-back and an alternate for Edin Dzeko.

At right-back, Roma must first determine whether one between Alessandro Florenzi or Davide Santon will leave. Should this happen, one of the names that the capital club could eye is Ajax’s Joel Veltman.

The defender has made 27 appearances for the Dutch side this season and has caught the attention of Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.

Other names such as Hans Hateboer and Timothy Castagne of Atalanta are profiles the club likes, but would be incredibly difficult to acquire in January.
