Roma are being linked with Alex Berenguer as a potential reinforcement this summer.

The ex-Torino man was recently offered to Roma as a free agent.

Berenguer concluded his spell at Athletic Club and the two sides did not pursue talks over a new deal.

In light of his decision to depart the Spanish side, Berenguer put a return to Serie A on top of his wish list.

According to Corriere della Sera, Roma are on the look-out for a substitute to Stephan El Shaarawy.

Berenguer was offered as an alternative to El Shaarawy for Daniele De Rossi’s roster.

Roma are now evaluating the player who concluded last season with 7 goals and 4 assists to his name.
