Nicola Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Paulo Fonseca admires the Croatian and even prefers him over the likes of Daniele Rugani. For this reason, contacts with Liverpool have intensified as Roma are offering a paid loan for €2-3 million with an option to buy worth €15-16 million – with the option to buy potentially turning into an obligation to buy once the player reaches a certain number of appearances.
