Jose Mourinho’s position in the Italian capital is not presently at risk despite a poor start to his third season at Roma.

The Special One still has the management’s confidence going forward as the Friedkin Group continue to believe that Mourinho and his men can resolve the situation as soon as possible.

However, Roma are also reportedly looking at long-term options to replace Mourinho ahead of next year.

The main candidate for the job remains Bologna’s Thiago Motta, claims calciomercato.com.

According to the news portal, Roma’s interest in Motta is well noted and the club have asked the manager for his availability in the summer of 2024.
