Roma’s upper management are pleased by the progress made under José Mourinho and they’re reportedly prepared to invest heavily this summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Giallorossi have two primary objectives when the transfer window reopens: the first is to thin out the squad by offloading several of the players who haven’t found space under the Portuguese technician.
This includes the likes of midfield trio Ebrima Darboe, Amadou Diawara and Jordan Veretout, and attacker Carles Perez.
The second is to acquire at least three high-quality, veteran players in each department of the pitch: one in attack, one in midfield, and one in defence.
At the moment, the three favorites in each role include Valencia’s Gonçalo Guedes, Lille midfielder Xeka, and left-footed Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi.
