Roma have shifted their attention to Dutch striker Thijs Dallinga of Toulouse.

The Giallorossi are making concrete steps forward in their search for a suitable replacement of Romelu Lukaku.

With Big Rom gone, Roma put Jonathan David on top of their shopping list.

However, Lille’s excessive demands for the Canadian attacker as well as the lack of offers for Tammy Abraham (whose sale would help the club fund their own targets for the summer) have forced Roma to consider other alternatives, too.

Among them is Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga who is expected to be put on the market after his team failed to qualify to any European competition, finishing eleventh in Ligue 1.

23-year-old Dallinga concluded this last season with 19 goals and 4 assists and his estimated pricetag is of around €20 million – a fee that Roma would have an easier time matching.

Dallinga seems to fit the identity-kit Roma have been looking for: young, already experienced in European competitions and ready for the big leap in quality.

Despite his height he is fast, dynamic, he knows how to handle the ball well and take advantage of loose balls; fourteen goals scored inside the penalty area, six headed ones, reports Corriere dello Sport.
