Roma face stiff competition for Depay

Looking for a solution to the future African Cup departure of Mohammed Salah, it’s no secret that Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay has caught the attention of Roma.

The Dutch attacker, who has the same agent as Kevin Strootman, has been offered to Roma, however, the obstacle to any deal is the player’s wages. Roma would likely only be able to bring the player to the club on loan with an option to buy along with the Red Devils contributing to the player’s wages.

However, the Giallorossi are not alone in their pursuit of the player. Everton manager Ronald Koeman confirmed to Fox Sports Netherlands that he wants to bring the player on loan to his side. Everton join Roma,
Milan, Stoke City, and a handful of other clubs vying for the out-of-favor forward’s signature.
