Roma fans confront Paredes and Dybala

Andy Mattioli

Opinions were split in the Italian capital today as Roma parted ways with Jose Mourinho after two and a half years.

Earlier today, the club announced their decision to sack the Special One and appoint legendary player Daniele De Rossi in his place until the end of the season.

Supporters showed up to Trigoria to bid farewell to Mourinho and greet De Rossi who returns to the club for the first time since 2019.

However, some supporters expressed their frustration with the team’s recent performances by halting some Roma players who were scheduled to join today’s training session at 17h00 (CET).

As captured by VoceGiallorossa, supporters stopped Paredes and Dybala outside of the club’s training centre and said, “Now that Mourinho is gone you have no more excuses.”

Both players are heard answering, “We know.”
