While Roma is ready to make its debut in the Europa League against the Basques of Athletic Club Bilbao, many Roma fans are still boycotting the club.
It seems like a part of Roma supporters have not yet accepted the Friedkins’ choice to sack De Rossi after just four matchdays into the new season.
In fact, on the morning of Thursday 26 September, banners appeared in the capital in support of the former coach and Giallorossi number 16: “De Rossi is our pride”.
The message of support for De Rossi was accompanied with a message for Friedkin, accused of lack of respect towards a Roma legend: “Yankee go home.”
