The news that Leonardo Bonucci might join Roma did not go down well with most fans of the capital club.
The former Juventus captain and the rumors linking him with a move to the Giallorossi was met with great uproar from the capital fanbase.
Upon hearing the news that Roma have withdrawn from talks with Bonucci’s entourage – thus making his January signing impossible – the fans of the club displayed a message against the veteran defender in the centre of Rome on Via Ostiense.
“Bonucci, rinse our balls,” read the message on display, alluding to Bonucci’s famous celebration of ‘rinsing’ his mouth.
