Roma fans did not take too kindly to Jose Mourinho’s sudden dismissal from the club.

The decision made by the Friedkins was greeted with a round of heavy boos and whistles leading up to tonight’s match with Hellas Verona.

The home crowd at the Olimpico repeatedly chanted Mourinho’s name as the game went underway.

Several factions of supporters displayed their own banners in support of the Special One, thanking him for his impact on the club over the last two and a half years.

“Mou one of the us,” said one of the banners.

Others messages included, “The only one to defend us, the last one to surrender. Thank you Jose,” and “Few of us have represented us the way you did. Every Romanista will be grateful to you for that.”

Finally, the most significant banner read, “You defended our Roma and led us to victory. Jose Mourinho in eternal glory!”
