Roma fear ligament damage for Rui

Just weeks before their decisive Champions League qualifiers, Roma may have been dealt a huge blow.

After suffering a knock in training yesterday and hobbling off the pitch, Roma fear that newly acquired left-back Mario Rui may have suffered a tear to his ACL in his knee. This would effectively rule the Portugese player out until after winter. The Giallorossi would then likely have to go back into the market to find a suitable replacement. The club’s medical staff is expected to release an update sometime today.
