Roma, Fiorentina both tracking German youngster Tim Breithaupt

Roma and Fiorentina are two of the clubs most heavily pursuing 20 year-old German youngster Tim Breithaupt of Bundesliga 2 side Karlsruher SC.

According to, the Giallorossi and La Viola have joined Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Borussia Mönchengladbach in the race for the defensive midfielder.

Breithaupt’s contract expires in 2024 and Karlsruher are expected to cash-in this summer to avoid possibly losing him as early as next January on a free transfer.

The player has already given the “green light” to a potential transfer to Serie A and is open to moving abroad despite several German clubs interested in his services.

So far this season, the youngster has collected a total of 2 goals and 1 assist in 19 total appearances across all competitions.
