Roma are reportedly discussing a deal with Fiorentina involving Andrea Belotti and Jonathan Ikone.
Following Daniele De Rossi’s managerial takeover, Roma have prioritized the addition of another winger with pace and good dribbling.
As a result, the Giallorossi have launched talks with Fiorentina for Jonathan Ikone who is reportedly out of Vincenzo Italiano’s plans.
On the other hand, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that Fiorentina want Andrea Belotti in exchange for Ikone as they seek to end their scoring drought and want to add another striker to their squad.
For the moment, negotiations revolve around the mode of the deal. Both clubs would like to include a loan with option to buy for both players.
Roma and Fiorentina are trying to find a solution in order to reach an agreement. First of all, Belotti has another year of contract with the Giallorossi club and there is a difference from the point of view of the salary received by the two players.
Furthermore, in the event of Belotti’s option being activated by Fiorentina, the Italian striker would receive a sum equal to €5 million gross, more than what the French footballer earns. Roma could cover the difference with Ikone in these six months but for a possible option, it is not certain. The situation, therefore, is still to be defined.
