Roma-Fiorentina nearing Veretout deal: the operation is likely to close at €20m

Following the words of Gianluca Petrachi (“Roma will buy a midfielder”), the Giallorossi are closing in on another reinforcement. Sky Sport reports that Roma and Fiorentina are nearing an agreement for midfielder Jordan Veretout. La Viola continue to request €25 million for the Frenchman while Petrachi’s offer is worth €19 million (including bonuses). The sides are likely to close a deal around the €20 million mark. Milan and Lyon were also interested in the ex-Aston Villa man, but Roma appear to have beaten the competition.
